Quebec shoppers looking at a smaller electric SUV have a new option to cross-shop this month. Kia has confirmed pricing and the full trim lineup for the 2027 EV3, and the numbers change the conversation around what a compact EV can cost.
Here is what is locked in now, and how to work through the trims once you are ready to compare them in person.
What’s Confirmed for the 2027 EV3
Kia has confirmed pricing for the 2027 EV3, and the Light FWD trim opens the lineup at $36,995 MSRP. Kia’s all-in price for that trim comes to $39,744, which factors in $2,185 in freight and up to $564 in other applicable fees.
Ten trim and drivetrain combinations round out the lineup, from Light FWD through GT AWD. Every EV3 shares Kia’s 400-volt E-GMP platform and a NACS charging port, so the charging basics stay consistent no matter which configuration you choose.

The step from Light to Wind FWD costs $4,000 and swaps the 58.3 kWh standard-range battery for the 81.4 kWh long-range pack, pushing rated range from 356 km to 517 km. AWD adds $2,500 over the equivalent FWD trim on Wind, Land, and GT-Line, trading some range for a second motor and 262 hp instead of 201 hp.
GT-Line Limited AWD tops the mainstream lineup at $52,495, while the performance-focused GT AWD sits at $55,995 with 288 hp, 345 lb-ft, standard AWD, and no FWD option.
Choosing a Battery and Drivetrain

The 58.3 kWh battery lives only in the Light FWD, rated for 356 km of range from a single front motor making 201 hp and 209 lb-ft. Every other trim moves to the 81.4 kWh long-range battery, which stretches range to 517 km in FWD form with the same 201 hp and 209 lb-ft output.
Add the second motor for AWD and the EV3 gains a dual-motor setup: a 168 hp front unit and a 94 hp rear unit produce a total of 262 hp and 284 lb-ft, with rated range at 451 km. It is a real tradeoff, not a checkbox: FWD buyers gain distance, AWD buyers gain traction confidence for when the seasons turn. The GT AWD pushes further still, at 288 hp and 345 lb-ft, with AWD standard rather than optional.
Cabin Space and Cargo for Everyday Use
The EV3 seats five across two rows, with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch multimedia display running wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Eight airbags come standard.
Cargo space is practical for school runs and grocery trips: a 25-litre frunk up front for charging cables, plus up to 740 litres behind the rear seats with the load floor lowered. Kia estimates 2,823 litres of total interior space, useful context for anyone sizing up a subcompact SUV for city parking and tight driveways.
GT-Line and GT-Line Limited trims ride slightly higher, at 157 mm of ground clearance versus 150 mm on Light, Wind, and Land.
Charging at Home and on the Road
Every EV3 uses a NACS charging port, and an 11.5 kW onboard charger handles Level 2 home charging in about seven hours for a 10-to-100 percent top-up. That is an overnight routine for most driveways and condo chargers across Quebec.
On the road, a 350 kW DC fast charger takes the battery from 10 to 80 percent in about 31 minutes. That is quick enough to keep a longer drive on schedule, with a brief stop to top up along the way.
